So much a part of European culture, but foreign to our own, these objects are always within Café Society’s reach. Founder Joan Osburn has an eye for and unlimited access to the breadth of new and antique products that make Paris, Paris and Cafés, Cafés. Connected with the people behind-the-scenes, Joan brings new products that carry on old traditions to Café Society – such as handcrafted zinc bars or café furniture. Joan’s personal relationships with these European vendors are invaluable when it comes to sourcing products. She also speaks the language of Europe’s antique dealers whom she has courted for over 20 years. Under their tutelage, she has developed an expert eye for authentic, high-quality, unusual objects created by artists and artisans over the past 200 years - specializing in the Golden Age of Café Society from the turn of the century through the 1930s. On a practical level, Café Society’s sourcing services include frequent trips abroad and expert, reliable importing and domestic shipping.
